October 11

In just two weeks, Building on Dana will be part of the annual conference for the Southeastern College Art Conference (SECAC) in Atlanta (October 23-25). It will be part of our presentation, “Is Visual Practices the Future of Art History?,” in the session “Navigating Programmatic Prioritization and the Future of Art History” on Friday; Building on Dana is the excursion on Saturday. We look forward to hosting scholars coming to visit our building, our workspace/classroom/gardens and our permanent collection.

Take a look at the schedule. The conference looks so exciting. Today is the last day to register in advance.

We are excited to share this project in the context of our transition from Art and Art History to Creative Arts/Visual Practice and consider the ways that Building on Dana has resulted from our expanded/expansive thinking. We’ll share the presentation after we deliver it!
